We reserve the right not to process your order if you are deemed by us to be using the Website for any such purposes and ban you from placing orders with us in the future.

We are fully committed to protecting confidentiality. The privacy of all personal data submitted to the site will be honoured and neither published nor made available to any third parties without prior consent from the subject in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. Although any correspondence could be lost, intercepted or altered with no responsibility to the Web site or it’s owners.
All information and images provided are accurate at the time of publishing. We reserve the right to revise, supplement or remove information, services or material contained on the site at any time. The properties of which are not guaranteed to meet the requirements of the user.

The general idea of the Historic Images UK website is that images, films and MP3s are downloaded for (non-profit) personal use. Anything within your household that could reasonably be deemed as a “Not for profit” use. Our licence covers only the person who downloaded from the website. 

Standard License Uses

You may only use the Content for those advertising, promotional and other specified purposes which are Permitted Uses (as defined below).
For clarity, you may not use the Content in products for resale, license or other distribution.

Permitted Uses.
Subject to the restrictions described under Prohibited Uses below, the following are “Permitted Uses” of Content:

1. advertising and promotional projects, including printed materials, product packaging, presentations, film and video presentations, commercials, catalogues, brochures, promotional greeting cards and promotional postcards (i.e. not for resale or license);
2. Entertainment applications, such as books and book covers, magazines, newspapers, editorials, newsletters, and video, broadcast and theatrical presentations;
3. on–line or electronic publications, including web pages.
4. print’s, posters (i.e. a hardcopy) and other reproductions for personal use or promotional purposes specified in (1) above, but not for resale, license or other distribution; and any other uses are prohibited unless approved in writing by Historic Images UK.
No liability shall be held against the site or it’s owners for any harmful or damaging files or programs contracted while visiting or downloading from the site. The use of protective software is advised.
Users should be aware that all purchases are available for download a maximum of twice for each purchase and for a limited period of 48hrs from the time payment is received. Problems encountered in the download process should be reported within this time span, failure to do so could result in an inability to provide adequate assistance.
